The Prestressed Advantage

Prestressing introduces a calculated precompression force into the concrete member before it ever sees a live load. That effective prestress counteracts tensile stresses under service conditions, improving serviceability, controlling crack width, and enabling longer clear spans with shallower, more efficient  sections.
