Whether it’s a municipal bridge, an industrial access bridge, a walkway, or a fishing pier, Waskey’s proven design has established itself as the gold standard in precast bridge construction. Waskey’s design enables construction times up to five times faster than traditional methods, while also reducing on-site construction man-hours, thereby lowering safety risks and environmental impact.
Waskey was engaged to precast a bridge in a rural area of Tangipahoa Parish. This bridge was similar to hundreds of bridges Waskey has produced over its almost 70 years in the business. The Pate Lane Bridge over Selser’s Creek exhibits the true breadth of what Waskey can offer in Bridge precast design—the structure included 5 20’spans with an 8-degree left-hand skew, caps, bulkheads, and wing walls. The precast solution was completed five times faster than if produced using cast-in-place methods. The modular approach also caused far less impact on the ecosystem during construction.
