ROCKSTAR ENERGY BIKE PARK–NORTH HOUSTON

When the North Houston District park system endeavored to develop the largest bike park in the United States, they enlisted the expertise of Waskey. The project culminated in creating six distinctive planter boxes, each consisting of three precast pieces. These planters were equipped with attachment points for a modular fabricated steel bridge system. With five skewed faces and unique stacking, the planters featured custom-fabricated mechanical attachments designed in-house by Waskey. The pieces varied in weight from 10,000 lbs to 39,000 lbs. The top precast sections were specifically designed to support irrigation for trees planted after erection.
