LACC MEG WALL
Waskey was challenged to design and fabricate a containment wall for LACC’s facility in Calcasieu Parish. Each wall panel measured 10’6” tall and was designed for containment and to sustain the flood waters that plague southern Louisiana during hurricane season. The project utilized 1,173 feet of wall; each panel weighed over 50,000 pounds. Waskey collaborated with vendors to create an expansion joint system that can withstand two hours of fire exposure. The wall has successfully withstood multiple floods and hurricanes since its installation
