PRECAST LNG TRENCH SYSTEMS

Waskey has become well-known in the industry for its modular LNG impoundment systems. All systems have been approved by FERC on various projects and adhere to ACI 318 and ACI 350 standards. Waskey’s LNG trench system can be supported by soil or pile caps and are produced to incorporate all turns and intersections. Floors are sloped to client specifications to eliminate man hours after installation. Waskey often incorporates grating, lids, and other accoutrements to provide clients with a turnkey solution. Trenches are lined with Waskey’s proprietary cryogenic liner to greatly reduce the impact of boil-off and embrittlement in the case of an LNG spill. The liner/insulation panels are installed in Waskey's fabrication yard. Waskey can also provide field manpower to properly seal trench joints and install additional insulation panels after installation.

Project Information

  • Waskey has FERC-approved systems for LNG impoundment.
  • Design is able to take projects at the Top of the Grade, Invert Elevation, and Clear Width to create design calculations and shop drawings.
  • In-house engineering capable of designing precast units to meet project specificrequirements.
  • Able to facilitate design and fabrication for multiple support conditions: soil, pile cap, etc.
  • Adherence to ACI 318, ACI 350 and other project specifications as required-Cryogenicliner is installed in Waskey’s shop.
  • Sloped internal floors with constant overall heights create a singular beddingelevation for 100+ LF of trench eliminating the need for sloping the trench bed.
  • LNG trench system incorporates all turns and intersections
  • Various Grates, Precast Lids, etc. available per project requirements
  • Able to facilitate built-in curbing and changes in top-of-grade as required
  • Field services can be provided for any precast jointing or concrete cryogenic lining required.
